Add-on updates

Contacts Sidebar for Catalan and Basque users

A new version of Contacts Sidebar is available on my web site.
This version fixes a problem which failed the Contacts Sidebar to load in Thunderbird with Catalan or Basque localizations.

Contacts Sidebar for Thunderbird 8 available

I am also glad to announce that I was able to solve the bug that caused the contacts of the first address book to be visible in the sidebar on startup of Thunderbird, even when another address book was selected.

No Thunderbird 7 compatibility

Unfortunately the Contacts Sidebar is not yet compatible with Thunderbird 7.
As soon as I find the time I will certainly make the necessary changes and release a Thunderbird 7 compatible add-on.

Contacts Sidebar for Thunderbird 5, part 1

As promised a first new version of the Contacts Sidebar add-on compatible with Thunderbird 5. Mind you that this is a first version for Tb5 and I did very little test work. If you find any issues, which are not in the list of known issues, please notify me.

It took only 10 days... Never expected so many people in such a short time to donate. This support is very much appreciated.
Soon I will update my add-ons and add them to my web site. In the mean time, you can still donate ;-)

Consider this for a moment....

Since June 15, 2011 I have received many requests to make my add-ons compatible with Firefox 5 and Thunderbird 5. I do understand people ask this as they like my extensions, which I appreciate.
However, I have been working on my add-ons for 7 years now. Spend many hours, for free, but times have changed. I do not have the time as I used to have. No, this does not imply I stop developing my add-ons, but...
I have decided to ask for donations before I continue work. When €200,- is donated, I will continue and make the add-ons compatible with the latest Firefox and Thunderbird version. I hope you respect my point of view.
Check the "Donation meter" on the left for the current status.
